Sercel UNITE Registers High Sales in December

February 2013 - Sercel has confirmed the delivery of 14,500 channels of its industry-leading UNITE cableless land seismic acquisition system for the month of December 2012. This high monthly volume of deliveries results from sales of both single- and three-channel cableless units to fi ve different customers, including three new UNITE customers. For the full year 2012 the UNITE attracted more than 10 new customers, increasing its total client base to nearly 30 customers.

The new order relates to the sale of a RAU-3 unit, the three-channel version of Sercel’s proven UNITE system.

Sercel Acquires the Assets of Geophysical Research Company

January 2012 - Sercel announced today that it has acquired the assets of Geophysical Research Company, LLC (“GRC”). Headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA), and established in 1925 by Amerada Petroleum Corporation, GRC is a leading provider of downhole sensors and gauges for the oil and gas industry. With approximately 120 employees, GRC is expecting 2011 revenues in the order of US$22 million.

Sercel DSUGPS Completes First Commercial Project

September 2011 - Sercel has confirmed the successful deployment of its new satellite-positioned DSUGPS sensor on its first commercial seismic project. Some 9,250 DSUGPS units configured in single 428XL links were deployed by Comesa to acquire a PEMEX seismic survey in southern Mexico. An additional 750 Sercel DSU3BV units were used in the marshy areas of the prospect.

Sercel SeaPro Nav Successfully Deployed on Seismic Vessels

May 2011 - Sercel has successfully deployed SeaPro Nav, its new integrated navigation system for all in-water equipment. SeaPro Nav is currently being used as the master integrated navigation system on board two CGGVeritas 3D vessels, including the Elnusa Finder operated by the Elnusa CGGVeritas joint venture. It is also being used in production on two 2D vessels operated by GuangZhou Marine Geological Survey (GMGS).

The 3,000-channel order follows on from a previous purchase by Mitcham Industries, INC. of 7,500 channels last September, which have already been deployed on several seismic survey projects across the USA.

February 2011 - CGGVeritas (ISIN: 0000120164 – NYSE: CGV) announced today that its equipment subsidiary Sercel has been awarded a contract by Compania Mexicana de Exploraciones S.A. de C.V. (Comesa) for the purchase of 10,000 digital sensor units (DSU), including 9,250 DSUGPS stakeless three-component (3-C) digital sensors for dry land operations and 750 DSU3BV buried version digital sensor units for transition zone operations.
