The Guardian® solid streamer is compatible with both Syntrak telemetry schemes (Fiber Optic/Twin Axial) and MSX. Guardian® overcomes the challenges of low frequency self-noise providing greater productivity and improved data quality.
An alternative to gel or fluid filled streamers, the Guardian® Solid Streamer is not affected by, what are commonly referred to as, "Bulge Waves." "Bulge Waves" are induced by the pulling of the vessel and seas on the streamer, which causes the fluid within the section to slosh back and forth, creating pressure on the hydrophones. The absence of streamer fluid, even in the flexible end terminations, enables seismic operations in environmentally sensitive areas.
