Sercel hydrophones are designed to resist micro-crazing, while enhancing high-frequency response without parasitic resonances. All Sercel hydrophones have an acceleration-canceling, piezoelectric ceramic assembly and are placed in an acoustically sensitive case.
P-44A:
Specially designed for transition zone and ocean-bottom cables, the P-44A Hydrophone
is a molded polyurethane unit that eliminates case water leakage and prevents
water from migrating down the cable into the body of the
hydrophone. The special case design enhances high-frequency response without
parasitic resonances. The P-44A is transformer coupled and has an acceleration
canceling piezoelectric ceramic assembly.
P-700:
The unique casing of this hydrophone allows a broad frequency spectrum without parasitic resonances. Its piezolelectric
ceramic disc packaging is stable to an operating depth of 200 meters (700 feet). The molded polyurethane outer case
eliminates water intrusion. The solid framework makes the P-700 an ideal hydrophone for rugged transition zone and OBC environments.
P-300M:
The rugged case design of the P-300 and its robust internal framework make it a well selected hydrophone for transition zone and
OBC environments. Its case design allows a broad frequency spectrum without parasitic resonances while its piezolelectric ceramic
disc packaging is stable to an operating depth of 300 meters (1000 feet).
