improvement in transition zone and ocean-bottom cable operations when 2-component
acquisition is required. Designed for use with the SG-10, this
twin-mounted gimbal takes advantage of Rare Earth Magnet technology to provide
the user with the most advanced geophone in the world. Installation to existing
ocean-bottom cables is effortless with factory-furnished,
waterproof/molded connectors.
Multi-axis 4-C :
This industry-proven, multipurpose, multi-axis four-component sensor offers a
remarkable improvement over single-axis gimballed sensors. Ideal for use in
transition zone, ocean-bottom and reservoir characterization
operations, the sensor utilizes three gimballed geophones and a robust hydrophone
surrounded by an acoustically stealth shroud. The unit is fixed with Sercel's
low distortion SG-10 geophone, which has a nominal frequency of 10 hertz.
