Business Support

In order to support the global development of the company, we look for responsive professionals in our support functions (HSE, Finance, IT, HR, Legal and Audit). These professionals offer their expertise to all the Sercel teams on each of our sites and at our headquarters.

 Pierre-Yves, IT Administrator

pierre-yves-small.jpgHaving retrained in IT and spent four years at an IT services company, I joined Sercel as an IT maintenance technician. I then became a networks and systems administrator. My job involves maintaining IT infrastructure and taking part in international IT projects on all the group’s sites on three continents. I like the diversity of projects, the team-work and the daily reappraisals in response to each new problem. I have to adapt to each situation and constraint. Sercel takes the quality of its IT system seriously and furnishes us with the best work tools, which enables us to develop large-scale projects. In my view, the qualities required for this post are independence, curiosity, availability and sociability.”

  Chérif, HR Director

cherif-small.jpgI completed a post-graduate HR course, having first studied economics at university. I joined Sercel as the director of HR for France following 15 years of HR generalist position in international groups. My role and that of the team I lead is to achieve a permanent balance between the company’s needs, the human resources that make up the company and their aspirations, and to maintain the unity that is vital to the operation of the Sercel Group. On a day to day basis, I lead and manage projects that concern internal mobility, professional training, development, recruitment, employee retention and relations with unions. I like the human dimension of my job and the complementary nature of strategic reflection and the action I take on varied and complex issues. Sercel is a high-performance company that is keen to develop its human capital and whose values centre on technology, performance, ethics and respect. In this context and in order to develop in this position, it is important to have an understanding of Sercel’s business and environment, to enjoy working with others to exercise good judgement and be able to take initiatives.”

  Sophie, Buyer

sophie-small.jpg “Following a sales degree, specialised purchasing training and several years of industry experience, I joined Sercel as a buyer. My role involves finding reliable service providers, who are able to supply us with the materials or services that we require, with the best quality level at the best possible price. We favour long-term partnerships that comply with our ethical charter. To work in purchasing, you must enjoy human contact, as you need to be able to decipher needs, analyse them and find the best solution. Our main objective is to satisfy internal or external clients, which involves being very client focused and responsive. My purchasing portfolio is very diverse and has an international reach. It requires mobility, the ability to adapt and a strong autonomy."

 Amy, Operations Controller

amy-small.jpg “Since beginning my career with Sercel, I’ve had opportunities of professional growth I never thought possible in a large, international company. I have experienced many aspects of accounting, from financial & tax and now cost accounting in my new role as Operations Controller. I am provided the support & tools I need to continue challenging my talents and those of my fellow team members. Sercel as an employer not only offers a dynamic, innovative workplace in an international, multi-cultural setting, but has also created a family, one that I’m very proud to be a part of.”
